Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to and use of Adams County Released Inmates. By visiting or using the site, a user agrees to follow them. Anyone who does not accept these terms should stop using the site.

Adams County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no affiliation with a government body, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers a service covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. The site is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

This private reference does not hold official jail, court, release, or supervision records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, or file a request for a visitor. Its purpose is to organize public resources relating to Adams County and Pennsylvania custody systems.

Pages link readers to government offices, inmate locators, records procedures, and outside research tools. Those destinations remain separate services under their own control.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must remain lawful and must not harm another person, the site, or its systems.

  • Do not violate a law while using the site.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, or harass anyone with information found here.
  • Do not base hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated decision on site content.
  • Do not seek access to systems or data without permission.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools.
  • Do not interfere with the site or another visitor’s access.

No Consumer Reports

Adams County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It supplies no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service, and its advertising partners do not supply such services through this site. A user agrees not to use any site content for an FCRA-covered purpose.

  • Tenant selection or housing eligibility
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other decision governed by the FCRA

External Websites

Links may point to sheriff and corrections pages, release records, official portals, legal resources, or third-party search providers. A link does not endorse the destination. Adams County Released Inmates does not control an outside site’s content, privacy practices, accuracy, fees, availability, or security. Review that service’s terms before using it.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that:

  • Information is complete, current, or error-free
  • Access will always be uninterrupted
  • Software will be free of bugs or security flaws
  • A partner search will return every relevant record

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing on this site is an official statement from Adams County, a sheriff, a court, or a corrections agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside service.

User Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the site, its owners, and service providers harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees caused by that user’s conduct, misuse of content, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Content

Original text, graphics, logos, arrangement, and code belong to Adams County Released Inmates or the applicable content partner. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, or modified without written permission, except as the law expressly permits.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version becomes effective when posted. Continued use after a change means the visitor accepts the revised terms.

Access May Be Revoked

Access may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time and without notice, including when conduct threatens the service, breaks these terms, or affects other users.

Pennsylvania Law Controls

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Pennsylvania.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds one part invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in force. The affected language will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
